Our Story

Homesteading since 2014

In 2014, Matt and Christanie Channell brought home a chicken coop and their first chickens to their new property in Hanson. What started as a small backyard flock grew — ducks, geese, turkeys and rabbits followed, and Christanie built an indoor riding arena to run her horseback riding lessons.

Today, alongside sons Hunter and Fisher, the Channell family raises chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, ADGA-registered Nigerian Dwarf goats, alpacas, a baby doll sheep, three gaited horses, barn cats, the family dog, and over 30 honeybee hives — while running a daily farm stand, a state-licensed farm camp, and welcoming visitors for goat yoga, farm parties, and petting zoo experiences right on the homestead.
